Call to action: We are excited to announce that Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) celebrated Cultural Awareness week, November 6-10, 2023!
TCHP fosters an environment of diversity, equity and inclusion by providing the right resources for our network of providers to better serve our culturally diverse member population. During Cultural Awareness week we provided trainings and panels for our staff to better help them serve our diverse member population.
We invite you to learn more about how TCHP is committed to providing cultural and linguistic appropriate services (CLAS) for you to improve the quality of care of our members by reviewing our Cultural Competency Plan available here.
How this impacts providers: To support the CLAS standards outlined in our Cultural Competency Plan, TCHP encourages providers to complete the Health and Human Services, Texas Health Steps, Culturally Effective Health Care online course available here. The learning objectives include the following:
Next step for Providers: After the Texas Health Steps, Culturally Effective Health Care training is completed, we encourage you to implement the procedures and resources acquired during the course into the daily operations of your practice.
