Texas Children's Health Plan will be closed on Thursday, December 25th and Thursday, January 1st in observance of the holidays. In our absence, you can reach our after-hours nurse help line at 1-800-686-3831. We will resume normal business hours on Friday, January 2nd. Wishing you a safe and happy holiday season!

Transportation Update Actualización de transporte

SafeRide Health (SRH) is the new provider for all NEMT rides to doctor appointments and pharmacy visits.

Depending on your needs, rides may include wheelchair-lift-equipped vehicles, stretcher vans, minivans, or ambulatory vans. Please let SRH know what type of ride you need when scheduling.

SafeRide Health (SRH) es el nuevo proveedor de todos los servicios de transporte médico que no son de emergencia (NEMT, por sus siglas en inglés) hacia consultas médicas y farmacias.

Update as of January 21, 2025: We are pleased to inform you that the IT issues affecting our systems have been resolved. All systems are now functioning normally.

Call to action: We want to inform you that Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) is currently experiencing IT-related issues that are affecting our systems as follows:

  • This includes outbound faxes relating to authorization requests.
    • Please contact us if you have questions or need assistance with prior authorizations at 1-800-731-8527
  • Issues with submitting claims and saving 835 files on the provider portal, Texas Children's® Link

Please be advised that our team is aware of the situation and is working diligently to resolve it as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we encourage you to check Texas Children's® Link for any important updates or responses relating to this outage.
