Direct Payment Program Explanation of Payment (EOP/835) and Remittance Advice Reports Coming Soon

Effective dates: September 1, 2024 for EOP and November 3, 2024 for Remittance Advice Reports

Call to action: Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) is pleased to inform providers that improvements are coming for the Direct Payment Program (DPP) in regards to the Explanation of Payment (EOP/835) and Remittance Advice Reports. 

How this impacts providers: Effective for September 1,2024, providers will be able to access the DPP payment information from the 835 files loaded on the TCHP Provider Portal, Texas Children’s Link. Information will be provided in Loop 2100 AMT segments with the following qualifiers ZK (base amount) and ZL (DPP Supplemental).

Effective for November 3 ,2024, the remittance advice reports (RA) will also display the DPP information. Providers will see a full explanation on their RA along with a legend and points of contact. 

Next step for Providers: Providers are strongly encouraged to utilize Texas Children’s Link by clicking here to access the new resources for understanding your DPP payments.
