Health Plan Staff Will Return to Conducting In-home Visits with Members
Date: February 6, 2023
Attention: All Providers
Launch date: February 1, 2023
Providers should monitor the Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) Provider Portal regularly for alerts and updates associated to the COVID-19 event. TCHP reserves the right to update and/or change this information without prior notice due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 event.
Call to action: Texas Children’s Health Plan’s, Care Coordination Department is thrilled to announce that our staff will return to conducting face-to-face visits for our STAR Kids members in February 2023.
How this impacts providers: Face-to-face visits are greatly beneficial to our members and their families by providing healthcare needs and social support services in the convenience of a Member’s home or public venue. Observing our STAR Kids members in person allows us to better assess a member's physical, social, and behavioral needs and preferences. These visits are more convenient for members with barriers to transportation and/or complex transportation needs.
Our team will prepare for each visit by completing the COVID screening questionnaire via telephone, prior to meeting with our members in person.
Thank you for the quality of care you deliver to our members!
